XML and CEF are available as format options on the download tab.
The CEF option makes use of the Qtran
software by the Space Plasma Group
at Queen Mary, University of London.
The XML (eXtensible Markup Language) option creates a .xml file which may be viewed with
any XML compliant tool. We have a stylesheet which may be
used to convert the .xml to .html so you can view it with
a browser; however, most browsers have limited support for
stylesheets and a external processor is needed to convert
the .xml to .html.
If the CEF (Cluster Exchange Format) option is chosen, you will need a CEF compliant
program to view these files. Since this is done with an
external processor after converting from IDFS to CDF, issues
may arise when using the data.
Please let us know if you have any problems using the data
or if you develop a useful stylesheet that you are willing
to share.
